Jet Lag

I had never experienced jet lag until a month ago when I got back from New Zealand after enduring a 30 hour journey...yup 30 hours, 3 planes, 6 airplane meals (ew.)

I didn't know what hit me when I got home and I don't think you can really prepare for it.

Image result for jet lagI'd never been out of Europe before I did this trip, so the longest time difference I'd ever had to endure was about 2 hours. New Zealand on the other hand (which was the final stop on my trip), was 13 hours ahead of the UK. This messed me up completely😖

It took me about a week until I was finally back to normal again. I found myself with no appetite (usually I could eat all day) and was constantly feeling sick too. This was also perhaps partly due to the fact I was practically starving myself whilst I was away to save money and having like one or two proper meals a week😳

I genuinely didn't feel myself, I was so disorientated and like everything was a blur. At one point my mum actually suggested I should go to the doctor as I was completely out of sync😅 I even found myself googling 'can you die from jet lag?' and apparently you can...which did panic me slightly at the time. Anyway, I'm still here to tell the tale.
